National Childrens Film Festival from April 07

Stage is set for National Children's Film Festival organised by the Children's Film Society of India at Visakhapatnam from April 7th. The festival would last for three days in the city. VUDA Children Theatre is set to host the festival. More than 40000 children of the state are expected to attend the screening of 24 CFSI films.

NCFF was first started in 2014 from Delhi and the second NCFF was held at Jaipur in 2016. Now the festival is scheduled at Visakhapatnam in association with the state government. State government has offered to allot 12 screens in the city where 3 shows would be played daily.

The three-day film extravaganza for the children of Andhra Pradesh will be inaugurated by Union Information and Broadcasting Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on.

The festival will showcase 24 popular CFSI films opening with "Shanu The Optimist", later followed by  Akkineni Kutuma Rao's Telegu film "Amulyam", "Bandu Boxer", "Bhago Bhoot", "Chota Sipahi", "Chutkan ki Mahabharat", "Ek Tha Bhujang", "Gauru", "Happy Mother's Day", "Krish", "Trish & Baltiboy" and "Pappu ki Pugdandi." 

NCFF is the largest film festival for children organised anywhere in India exposing a large number of children audience to quality and wholesome entertainment. CFSI has also brought out the concept of 'Little Directors' as a specially curated competition section, where children would be encourages to shoot small movies of a few minutes on phones. CFSI would invite entries for selection during film festivals.

NCFF also organise workshops and open forums on film making and  have introduced Film Bonanza, a week-long film festival, where select movies of CFSI will be screened for students across the country in association with respective district administration and NGOs. It's an ongoing effort, and there's much more to do.
