CM e-Eye Centre inaugurated by Collector

CM e-Eye Centre has been inaugurated by Collector Pravin Kumar at the Community Health Centre of Chodavaram. CM e-Eye centre is an initiative taken up by state government which is first of its kind in the country.
The centre is aimed to provide most advanced free eye care medical services. The centres would provide all the eye related services and medicines free of cost and also all the minor surgeries would be performed in the centres.
Speaking at the event Collector said that the centres would also be established at Paderu, Araku Valley, Aganampudi, K Kotapadu, Bheemili, Nakkapalli, Yelamanchili and Pendurty.
 
The most advanced free eye care medical services would be provided in the CM e-Eye centres which have been set up with Public Private Partnership, Pravin Kumar said.  
After getting the feedback from the nine centres, more CM e-Eye centres would be set up in the district. The government has been establishing 110 centres across the state.
 
On the occasion, the collector announced that the Chodavaram Community Health Centre would be developed at a cost Rs 2 crore as a best referral hospital.
 
The government is implementing several reforms in the hospitals and ensuring round-the-clock quality services. The District Hospitals Coordinator and RDO have been directed to visit the hospitals periodically to ensure quality services to the patients, the Collector said.
