CII Partnership started on a grand note

The third consecutive Sunrise Andhra Pradesh Investments Summit with the Confederation of Indian Industry has started today on a grand note in Visakhapatnam here on Saturday. The three-day Summit has inaugurated the event on Saturday afternoon. 

Speaking at the event Vice-President said that, ‘’India is poised to become one of the most vibrant economies of the world and Andhra Pradesh, in particular, will play a key role in the country's growth story’’.

He also said that BJPs move of Demonetisation and GST was two very important which brought the economy back on track and some other revolutionary steps taken by the Union Government in spite of the initial disruption the long-term benefits justified the steps.

He also stated that the Union government and State government would work together to build a new Andhra Pradesh and new India.

Venkaiah Naidu said the reform process initiated by the Narendra Modi government started yielding results and brought in transparency in administration. "Now, you don't need to meet people in government for clearance of your investment proposals. They automatically happen, if you apply online," he said.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu welcomed the delegates to the third CII summit and assured them of uninterrupted power supply at low cost, abundant land and water, skilled labor, air and water connectivity, and grant of licenses on a real-time basis in the state.

Chandrababu said the state has recorded 59 percent success rate with regard to the materialization of MoUs in the previous summits. He asked every participant in the summit to sign a MoU. Agriculture, food processing, and automobile are the focus areas, he said.

Union Industry and Commerce Minister Suresh Prabhu said that despite challenges after the bifurcation the residual state of AP had made impressive strides during the past four years and the Centre would give all help to AP in its endeavor to become a modern industrialized state.

He said in the automobile sector, in particular, the State's progress had been impressive. "AP will become the auto hub of the country and Indian will ride in cars manufactured in the State. The cars will not only be made in AP, but they will be designed here," he said. 

MoUs were signed by the Adani group and EESL with the state government at the Summit on Saturday. 

Union Commerce Minister Suresh Prabhu, Civil Aviation Minister P Ashok Gajapati Raju, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee, CII chairperson Sobhana Kamineni and Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, among others, were present on the occasion.
