Thomson Reuters ; Visa companies coming up at the Fintech Tower

The state government is striving all its best to transform Visakhapatnam into a prominent financial technology hub.

Starting from the next month two new multinationals are about to launch their operations at the Fintech tower in  Madhurawada IT Special Economic Zone.
Thomson Reuters and Visa companies are going to start their operations and space was being allotted to the two leading firms at the FinTech Tower, according to J.A. Chowdary, Special Chief Secretary and IT Adviser to Chief Minister.

Memorandum of understanding"s were signed recently between the state government and the two companies in Mumbai.

Thomson Reuters will build FinTech initiatives using government-provided infrastructure and university resources. Visa will help sustain financial inclusion, increase digital adoption, and develop educational curricula for financial literacy.
Visa has agreed to introduce latest technologies such as Quick Response (QR) code and Near-Field Communication (NFC) to enable digital payments for government and business segments.

13 companies have already signed MoUs with the state government to launch their business operations from the city. The addition of the two new multinationals at the Fintech tower is going to add additional attraction to the city as fintech hub.

To promote Fintech in a big way the state government has also signed an MoU with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) under the consultation of KPMG.
