Millennium tower on the verge of completion

The millennium tower which is being constructed at Rushikonda is progressing at a brisk pace and the officials are keen on completing the project by September this year.

The Millennium tower will be an iconic superstructure and showcase Visakhapatnam as the IT capital of 'Navya Andhra Pradesh.'

Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation is executing the project, which is being funded by the Information and Communication Technology Department of Andhra Pradesh.

The project is being constructed with a cost of 180 crore rupees, in a four acres land. The tower is being built to promote IT in Visakhapatnam with focus on start-ups.

The Millennium Tower will have 2,00,000 sq.ft. of built-up space for allotment to plug-and-play operators. In addition, it will have 1,50,000 sq.ft. of space for parking.

With the millennium tower coming into action the officials are of the opinion to achieve the IT turnover of 10000 crore in the next five years, while the present IT turnover from Visakhapatnam is estimated at ₹2,000 crore.
